Mark Scheifele will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Thursday.
The Winnipeg Jets forward is facing discipline for charging Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans.
The incident occurred at 19:03 of the third period in the Jets' 5-3 loss in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Second Round at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg on Wednesday. Scheifele received a major penalty for charging and a game misconduct. Evans was taken off on a stretcher.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: charging. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
