{allcanada} 'Quest for the Stanley Cup' returns for season six

NEW YORK / TORONTO - Season six of Quest For The Stanley Cup™, the behind-the-scenes documentary series chronicling the remaining eight teams - Boston Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes, Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets - in the midst of the 2021 Stanley Cup® Playoffs vying for the chance to hoist the Stanley Cup, will premiere Friday, June 4, at 6 p.m. ET, exclusively on ESPN+ in the U.S. and on YouTube.com/NHL in Canada. The trailer is available here.

Through seven, 30-minute episodes, the two-time Sports Emmy Award-nominated series will take viewers inside the Second Round, the Semifinals and the Stanley Cup® Final. In each episode, cameras will lead fans through the action on the ice, on the benches, in the dressing rooms and into the home lives of players and members of the coaching staff. The documentary series will provide fans with an all-access pass to each team's exceptional journey through the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs in the pursuit of the Stanley Cup - the hardest trophy to win in professional sports.

Quest For The Stanley Cup first premiered in 2016 to critical acclaim, making the NHL the first North American pro sports league to provide unfettered access to its postseason. For its sixth season, the weekly series is produced by Face Off Films, Inc., in association with NHL Original Productions. Executive producers are NHL Chief Content Officer Steve Mayer and Check Point Productions President David Check. Actor Corey Stoll will narrate the series.

For the fourth straight season, ESPN+ subscribers will have exclusive access to the entire series throughout the Playoffs, with new episodes available every Friday at 6 p.m. ET starting this week. Fans in Canada will be able to watch Quest For The Stanley Cup on YouTube.com/NHL.

Following a 2020-21 regular season in which all 31 teams took part in exclusively intra-divisional play, the 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs began with 16 teams in the traditional best-of-seven, four-round format. The top four teams in each division (Discover NHL® Central Division, Honda NHL® West Division, MassMutual NHL® East Division and Scotia NHL® North Division) qualified for the postseason, with intra-divisional play in the first two rounds (#1 vs. #4; #2 vs. #3). The four teams that advance to the Stanley Cup Semifinals™ will be seeded by their regular-season point total, with the No. 1 seed playing the No. 4 seed in one series and the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds meeting in the other
