{allcanada} AHL's Toronto Marlies shut down for one week due to COVID-19 situation

The Toronto Marlies — AHL affiliate of the Maple Leafs — are being shut down for one week due to a COVID-19 situation, according to Sportsnet's Chris Johnston.

A release from the league stated all Marlies games through April 21 — a slate of three games including a pair of meetings with Laval and a game against Belleville — would be postponed due to the AHL's COVID-19 protocols.

With Laval and Belleville's schedules affected, the league has also moved a Laval-Belleville game from early May to April 21.

The AHL similarly postponed a pair of upcoming Lehigh Valley Phantoms games due to COVID-19 protocols — adding to a postponed Phantoms game originally set for Wednesday — shutting down the Philadelphia Flyers affiliate through April 18.

Make-up dates for all postponed games are yet to be confirmed.
