Tuesday's game between the Cape Breton Eagles and Charlottetown Islanders has been postponed due to an issue with the ice at the Eastlink Centre.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League made the announcement Tuesday, adding that the remainder of the game will be played on Wednesday ahead of a previously scheduled rematch between the two clubs.
The game was temporarily postponed with 18:50 to go in the third period after a rut in the ice was deemed unsafe to continue playing on. After a lengthy delay, the decision was made to push the remainder of the game back a day.
League-leading Charlottetown was up 4-0 when play was halted.
The Islanders (24-4-0) entered Tuesday's tilt on a nine-game win streak, while the Eagles (11-17-1) were on a five-game skid.
