{allcanada} Four more members of Senators test positive for coronavirus

The Senators announced on Wednesday that four additional members of the organization tested positive for the coronavirus. Three players and one staff member have since recovered after being self-isolated beginning on March 13.

From the team:

Members of the team and staff self-isolated on Friday, March 13, and are all doing well. All test results have now been received, and all those who tested positive have recovered.

The Ottawa Senators' medical team continues to monitor players and staff and are following all appropriate and professional guidelines to help ensure the health and safety of our employees and the greater community.

Ottawa was on a three-game California trip before the NHL pause was announced on March 12.

On a video conference call with reporters this week, Brady Tkachuk said he's kept in touch with his teammates since the pause and the affected players are doing well.

"We're a tight group so we're always in contact with one another, but I think all of us are just concerned about them and everybody impacted by it," he said.

There have now been seven positive tests for NHL players so far, which includes two members of the Avalanche. Also, Senators broadcaster Gord Wilson and Blues play-by-play announcer John Kelly both revealed last week they had contracted the virus.
