An old school relationship ended with modern-day melodrama.
Pamela Anderson's stunning marriage of 12 days to former sweetheart Jon Peters ended via text message.
The "Baywatch" bombshell-turned-activist spent a mere five days with Peters before he called off their coupling with a text message, Us Weekly reports, retreating to her house in Canada for half of their brief union.
The kooky couple tied the knot January 20 at Shutters on the Beach hotel in Santa Monica, California.
They never completed official paperwork to legalize their union.
Peters, 74, who developed marriage remorse, fired off a text message nuking the nuptials.
The text described their "beautiful amazing love fest" but read, "This whole marriage thing … has scared me."
"It made me realize that at 74 I need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair," he wrote. "Therefore, I think the best thing we can do is that I'm going to go away for a couple of days and maybe you need to go back up to Canada we did it. The world knows we did it and I think now we need to go our own separate ways. I hope that you can forgive me."
The "A Star Is Born" producer may not want the former Playboy playmate in his bed, but he still wants her in his next movie, "Private Dancer."
The 52-year-old Anderson responded with a face-throwing-a-kiss emoji and "I forgive you."
An insider told US that after the wedding, the couple stayed at Peters' house until Jan. 24, and Anderson later flew to Canada. She then went to Los Angeles on Jan. 29. The next day, Peters sent his "Dear Pam" missive.
In the end, Peters may have had a mistress: His money.
"Jon has spent his lifetime producing movies and has amassed a sizable fortune, which is for his kids," a source told US. "He realized that marrying Pam could affect that and there was no way he was prepared to take that risk."
The marriage was the fifth for both.
