{allcanada} Boeser out three more weeks for Canucks

Brock Boeser sustained a rib cartilage fracture and will be reevaluated in three weeks, and Micheal Ferland will be out for the rest of the season for the Vancouver Canucks because of recurring concussion-like symptoms.

Boeser, a forward, has not played since Feb. 8. He has 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists) in 56 games.

Ferland, also a forward, has been limited to 14 games this season and has been out since Dec. 10. He had one goal and four assists.

"I feel for [Ferland], he's worked hard and wants to get back playing," Canucks coach Travis Green said after practice Saturday. "You just feel for a guy when he works that hard. As far as a coach and a player you feel for him.

"You want him to get back as soon as he can; never mind the team aspect, but from the personal aspect of him being a guy that loves the game and loves to play it, it's hard when you're injured. And when you work that hard to get back and don't, it's difficult."

Vancouver (32-22-5), which trails the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights by one point for first place in the Pacific Division, acquired forward Tyler Toffoli in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.
