PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Christopher Paquette's third-period goal was the winner as the Peterborough Petes edged the Oshawa Generals 3-2 on Tuesday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.
Paquette scored 9:03 into the third period as Peterborough cut Oshawa's lead in the best-of-seven series to 2-1.
Declan Chisholm and Adam Timleck also scored for the Petes, while Hunter Jones made 28 saves for the win.
Allan McShane and Nicolas Mattinen replied for the Generals as Kyle Keyser turned away 33 shots.
Peterborough went 0 for 3 on the power play and Oshawa scored on its one man advantage.

HAMILTON — Noel Hoefenmayer's power-play goal early in the second period was the eventual winner as Ottawa doubled the Bulldogs.
Mitchell Hoelscherhad the first goal for the 67's, who lead the series 3-0.
Arthur Kaliyev scored for the Bulldogs.

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Stephen Dhillon stopped all 20 shots he faced as Niagara blanked the Battalion.
Philip Tomasino scored twice as the IceDogs took a 2-1 lead in their playoff series.
Andrew Bruders goal for the IceDogs at 3:38 of the first period was the eventual winner. Ivan Lodnia, Jack Studnicka and Oliver Castleman also scored for the IceDogs.
Christian Propp made 45 saves for North Bay.
Niagara's Jacob Paquette was given a game misconduct for boarding at 1:10 of the second period.

KITCHENER, Ont. — Nick Suzuki struck twice as Guelph sank the Rangers to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.
Alexey Toropchenko had the eventual winner for the Storm, while Nate Schnarr, Isaac Ratcliffe and Dmitri Samorukov also found the back of the net.
Jonathan Yantsis led Kitchener with a pair of goals and Joseph Garreffa also scored.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Adam Boqvist scored four times, including the winner, as London subdued the Spitfires.
Liam Foudy and Alex Formenton also scored for the Knights, who lead the best-of-seven series 3-0.
Will Cuylle, Tyler Angle and Louka Henault supplied the offence for Windsor.

SARNIA, Ont. — Camaryn Baber put away the winner at the 10:56 mark of the first period as Saginaw took a 3-0 series lead over the Sting.
Owen Tippett, Damien Giroux, Justin Murray, Reagan O'Grady and Jake Goldowski rounded out the attack for the Spirit.
Justin McCombs scored for the Sting.
