Okay, so I installed the HK1 mini. This 30 euro mediaplayer has more options then my 299 Dune Smart B1 had !!
Setting it up was pretty straight forward except for one thing. I don't want WIFI on, but whe I put it off, a second later it's on again.
I searched and came out on a YT video with a simple solution to fix it.
Being an Adroid device, you can use everything in the Play store (My Samsung smart TV in the living room cannot do that !It comes pre-installed with Kodi and VLC as mediaplayersc.
Youtube, Netflix are also pre-installed. No problems with the Network ecept the one I had with the Dune too. All PC's in my network are seen on the HK1mini, the HK1 mini is not seen on the PC's...
Anyone who knows a simple solution ?Wish I could setuop a network in Windows 10 by hand.....
I'm glad that it also plays APE, because somtimes that's the format people use, to compress lossless. IMHO it sucks compared to FLAC, but at least I can listen and don't have to change it into WAV or FLAC first.
All in all :if you don't have a mediaplayer I can recommend it. It works like a charm and DTS HD is passed through to th reciever, which decodes it.
Two small problems of which one was fixed within 30 minutes.
Oh and before I forget : you can make a hotspot from it for your phone ! Full speed wifi on the attic in my mancave instead of less than 30 % ! Speetest works as fast as on my PC 500+ up and down.
And it has two USB ports, for your mouse or keyboard or....two Harddiscs.
Most of Chinese stuff is trash, but this 4x4 inch mediaplayer is awesome. You can easily compare it with all those expensive ones. I'm extreme happy with it, one of my best buys !
