Montreal Canadiens forward Jacob De La Rose has not been cleared to travel with the team due to a cardiac episode. He will remain in Montreal for ongoing evaluation.
The issue is not considered to be serious and is a precautionary move. The episode occurred after the Canadiens' final pre-season game against the Ottawa Senators.
The 23-year-old appeared in 55 games for the Canadiens last season, scoring four goals and adding eight assists.
Montreal opens its season Wednesday on the road in Toronto against the Maple Leafs.
