The Ottawa Redblacks have upgraded their backfield for 2017, signing running back Shakir Bell to a one-year deal.
The 25-year-old spent his first two years in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimo, amassing 1058 yards on 181 carries with two touchdowns.
Bell was limited to four games last season, but still rushed for 425 yards on 68 carries and one touchdown.
The Indiana native has also caught 34 passes for 312 yards over the past two seasons.
