MILVERTON, Ont. – 22 Racing is pleased to announce today that Christopher Bell will be behind the wheel of the No. 22 car at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the first event of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty's Series. The talented 22-year-old Bell is in his second year in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series full time competing for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) as a Toyota Racing Development driver. Bell will make his first start in the NASCAR Pinty's Series in the Can Am 200 on May 20th & 21st.
"We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to provide a car for a driver of the caliber of Christopher Bell," said team owner Scott Steckly. "I have no doubt he will be battling for the win when the checkered flag falls on lap 51 of the Can Am 200."
The 22-year-old from Norman, Oklahoma, finished third in the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series his rookie season after compiling nine top-five and 17 top-10 finishes. He currently sits second in the 2017 truck standings with one win, two top fives and three top 10s in three starts.
Bell will be arriving at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Saturday morning after competing in the Camping World Truck series fifth event of the year on Friday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
