{allcanada} Report: LeBron to sit out versus Raps

If the Cleveland Cavaliers are to once again head to the playoffs as the Eastern Conference's top seed, they will have to do so without the services of LeBron James.

Jason Lloyd of The Athletic Cleveland reports that the Cavs' leading scorer will sit out the season finale, at home to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

James did not appear in the Cavs' 124-121 overtime loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday. The team now sits a full game back of the Boston Celtics for top spot in the East.

The Cavs need to beat the Raptors and have the Milwaukee Bucks top the Celtics in order to claim the top seed. A loss by the Cavs or a win by the Celtics hands top spot to Boston.

Lloyd notes that point guard Kyrie Irving - also rested against the Heat - could feature against the Raptors.

The Raptors are locked in as the third seed in the East.
