{allcanada} Report: Erik Karlsson played first round with two fractures in foot

Erik Karlsson played the first-round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with two hairline fractures in his left foot, the defenceman revealed to reporters after his Ottawa Senators closed out the Boston Bruins in Game 6 Sunday.

According to ESPN's Joe McDonald, Karlsson first suffered the injury on March 28 against the Philadelphia Flyers while blocking a shot.

At the moment it's unclear whether this ailment will affect Karlsson for Senators' second-round series against the New York Rangers.

However, he played all six of Ottawa's playoff games so far, averaging close to 30 minutes of ice time it's likely he'll play through injury in Round 2.
