{allcanada} Goalie Connor Ingram signs entry-level deal with Lightning

Former Canadian world junior goaltender Connor Ingram has signed his three-year, entry-level NHL contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The deal was announced Tuesday, two days after Ingram's Kamloops Blazers were eliminated in the first round of the WHL playoffs by the Kelowna Rockets.

Ingram went 26-14-4 with a 2.44 goals-against average, .927 save percentage and five shutouts with the Blazers. He posted the best save percentage and second-best GAA among regular WHL netminders.

The Imperial, Sask., native played four games for Canada's silver medal-winning World Junior Championship team last December and January. He posted a 2-1 record with a 2.57 GAA and one shutout.

Ingram, who turned 20 on March 31, was selected by the Lightning in the third round, 88th overall, of the 2016 draft.
