[SurroundSound] do companys release 5.1 digital files that can be bought to be played through my mac.

Basically I have bought Waves NX Head tracking for a project at college but I would also like to be able to listen to 5.1 music seeing as the headphones can simulate as many speakers as I like.
However i have since descovered that 5.1 digital files are pretty much impossible to find.

Is there anywhere that sells things like this or is it all just about finding upmixes people have created and if so is there a community or place i can find this sort of thing.
