SARNIA, Ont. — Kole Sherwood scored his second goal of the game early in overtime as the Flint Firebirds defeated the Sarnia Sting 3-2 on Thursday night in Ontario Hockey League action.
Ryan Moore tied the game at 1-1 in the first period for Flint (16-15-2), which got 19 saves from Connor Hicks.
Ryan McGregor opened the scoring and Jordan Kyrou evened the game at 2-2 in the second period for the Sting (16-13-3). Justin Fazio turned aside 31 shots.
The Firebirds were scoreless on six power plays while Sarnia went 0 for 5.---
67'S 3 BATTALION 2
NORTH BAY, Ont. — Ben Evans had a goal and two assists and Olivier Lafreniere stopped 40 shots as Ottawa edged the Battalion.
Artur Tyanulin and Drake Rymsha also found the back of the net for the 67's (14-15-4). Jared Steege tacked on three helpers.
Brad Chenier and Steve Harland, on the power play, scored for North Bay (15-15-2). Julian Sime made 22 saves.

PETES 3 KNIGHTS 1
PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Logan DeNoble scored the eventual winner on the power play to lift the Petes past London and their sixth straight win.
Zach Gallant opened the scoring and Jonathan Ang added an empty netter for Peterborough (16-11-4). Dylan Wells made 30 saves.
JJ Piccinich replied on the power play for the Knights (21-5-5) and Tyler Johnson stopped 34 shots.
