The Montreal Alouettes have scheduled a press conference for Wednesday to make a major announcement amid speculation Kavis Reed will be named the team's new general manager.
Reed has been with the Alouettes the past two seasons serving as special teams coordinator before adding the assistant head coach title last year.
Reed has head coaching experience, leading the Edmonton Eskimos to an overall record of 22-32 from 2011-2013, but no prior experience as a general manager.
The reports come after University of Montreal Carabins head coach Danny Maciocia reportedly turned down the President of Football Operations position with the Alouettes.
It's unclear at this point whether interim head coach Jacques Chapdelaine, who led the Alouettes to a 4-2 record after taking over last year, will be made permanent head coach.
