Veteran forward Brandon Prust has ended his stay with the Toronto Maple Leafs to play hockey in Germany, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.
Prust, 32, was released from his professional tryout by the Leafs earlier in the season. According to Dreger, Prust will join the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga located in Nuremberg, Germany.
The London Ont., native scored one goal and six assists over 35 games with the Vancouver Canucks in 2015-16. He added seven more points with the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League.
In 486 career games with the Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and Canucks, Prust has 40 goals, 75 assists and 1036 penalty minutes.
