PANTHERS (8-8-1) at SENATORS (10-6-1)
7 p.m. ET; SN1, TVAS 2, FS-F, NHL.TV
Panthers team scope
Forward Jussi Jokinen, who missed the Florida Panthers' 6-1 loss at the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday with an illness, will be a game-time decision, Panthers coach Gerard Gallant said Saturday. If Jokinen is able to play, he could take Jared McCann's spot on Florida's first line, alongside center Aleksander Barkov and right wing Jaromir Jagr. Barkov has two goals in 17 games and Jagr has one; in the first 17 games last season, Barkov had six goals and Jagr had seven. Jagr hasn't scored in 13 games, matching the longest streak of his career, in 2012 with the Philadelphia Flyers. The Panthers power play is 0-for-13 in the past four games. Goaltender Roberto Luongo is expected to start.
Senators team scope
Goaltender Craig Anderson will start for the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Anderson is 8-3-1 this season with a 2.12 goals-against average and.934 save percentage. He did not play in a 5-1 loss against the Nashville Predators in Thursday. Forward Bobby Ryan will not play after getting hit on the right hand by a shot Thursday. He said Saturday he hopes to return at some point this week. Forward Mike Hoffman will miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury, and is day to day. Forward Curtis Lazar was called up from Binghamton of the American Hockey League, and will make his season debut. Lazar had 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) in 76 game with Ottawa last season. The Senators, who have killed 33 consecutive penalties, have scored two goals or fewer in 10 of their past 11 games. Captain Erik Karlsson needs one point to reach hit 400 in his NHL career.
