ERIE, Pa. — Arizona Coyotes prospect Dylan Strome had a goal and an assist in his season debut as the Erie Otters beat the visiting Sudbury Wolves 5-2 on Thursday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Strome, the third-overall pick in the 2015 NHL draft, was returned to junior earlier in the week after dressing in just seven games with the Coyotes. He finished the night with six shots on net and 12 for 14 in the face-off circle.

Ivan Lodnia scored once and set up two more for the Otters (17-5-2) while Kyle Maksimovich and Alex DeBrincat matched Strome with a goal and an assist apiece. TJ Fergus rounded out the offence

Darian Pilon and Macauley Carson found the back of the net for the Wolves (10-13-1).

Troy Timpano only had to make 14 saves for the win as Zack Bowman turned aside 34-of-38 shots in defeat.

Both clubs went 0 for 1 on the power play.

GREYHOUNDS 6 BATTALION 1

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Boris Katchouk had two goals and an assist and Matthew Villalta made 19 saves as Sault Ste. Marie toppled the Battalion for its fifth win in a row.

Zachary Senyshyn, Tim Gettinger, Bobby MacIntyre and Jack Kopacka supplied the rest of the offence for the Greyhounds (16-7-1).

Steve Harland put North Bay (12-10-2) on the board after it was already 4-0 for Sault Ste. Marie. Mat Woroniuk stopped 24-of-29 shots in a losing cause.

Less than three minutes after scoring in the second period, Senyshyn was handed a match penalty for slew footing.

SPITFIRES 5 PETES 4 (OT)

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Austin McEneny scored 3:05 into the extra period and Michael DiPietro made 34 saves as Windsor extended its point streak to 10 games by edging the Petes.

Cole Carter, Graham Knott, Julius Nattinen and Cole Purboo also scored for the Spitfires (15-4-3), who are on a 7-0-3 run.

Matt Spencer, Matyas Svoboda, Zach Gallant and Adam Timleck supplied the goals for Peterborough (10-10-4). Dylan Wells kicked out 38-of-43 shots in defeat.

COLTS 6 BULLDOGS 5

BARRIE, Ont. — Anthony Stefano had a goal and two assists and Kade Landry chipped in with three helpers as the Colts used a six-goal first period to beat Hamilton.

Jason Willms, Lucas Chiado, Matt Brassard, Ben Hawerchuk and Justin Murray helped stake Barrie (8-13-3) to a 6-0 lead after 20 minutes. David Ovsjannikov made 23 saves for the victory.

Michael Cramarossa had a pair of goals as the Bulldogs (12-8-3) came up just short in a comeback attempt. Trent Fox, Matthew Strome and Adam Laishram also scored. Cole Ceci allowed three goals on nine shots before giving way to Kaden Fulcher, who was pegged with the loss after giving up three goals on 11 shots. Ceci returned to start the second and stopped all 18 shots he faced the rest of the way.
