JETS (9-8-2) at BRUINS (10-7-0)
7 p.m. ET; SN, NESN, NHL.TV
Jets team scope
Goaltender Michael Hutchinson will start for the Winnipeg Jets. It's his first start since making 25 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss at the Colorado Avalanche on Nov. 11. Hutchinson, who was selected by the Boston Bruins in the third round (No. 77) of the 2008 NHL Draft, has a 2-0-1 record with a 1.58 goals-against average and .954 save percentage against Boston. He has a 2-3-2 record with a 3.15 GAA and .896 save percentage this season. "Mike's had a real good week," coach Paul Maurice said. "He's played well in his games. Didn't want to leave him out too long." The Jets are playing the second game of their season-long five-game road trip, which started with a 5-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday. Forward Mark Scheifele is tied with Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning for the NHL lead in points with 22. Forward Patrik Laine leads the League with 12 goals.
Bruins team scope
Forward David Pastrnak, who leads the Bruins with 10 goals, will miss his second straight game because of an upper-body injury. The Bruins had won three in a row before they lost 1-0 to the Minnesota Wild on Thursday without Pastrnak in the lineup. "There's certain things we can do better," coach Claude Julien said. "I think we've showed it, we've talked about it. Pastrnak is definitely one of our guys who's been our most lethal weapon so far but at the same time ... I'd hate to think that because we're missing one player we can't score anymore. So I think it's up to other guys to step it up." Goaltender Tuukka Rask, who is 10-2-0 with a 1.49 GAA and .947 save percentage, will make his fifth straight start.
