{allcanada} Clarke MacArthur diagnosed with concussion

Ottawa Senators forward Clarke MacArthur sustained a concussion at practice on Sunday.

General manager Pierre Dorian said his progress will be evaluated daily.

MacArthur, 31, who has 91 points in 145 games with the Senators, left practice early after he was hit from behind by teammate Patrick Sieloff. MacArthur missed the Senators' final 78 games of 2015-16 after sustaining a concussion Oct. 14 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

"We're at the point where we're heartbroken," Dorion told the Ottawa Sun.

MacArthur's injury comes one day after Senators forward Mark Stone, 24, was diagnosed with a concussion on Saturday. Stone, whose 61 points last season was second on the Senators, was injured at practice Friday.
