The Toronto Maple Leafs will not go to arbitration with defenceman Frank Corrado.
Corrado and the Maple Leafs agreed to terms on a one-year deal, the club announced Monday. He will earn $600,000 against the salary cap. An arbitration hearing was scheduled for Tuesday.
Corrado scored one goal and totalled six points in 39 games with the Maple Leafs in 2015-16. Toronto claimed the 23-year-old off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks.
The Maple Leafs also avoided an arbitration hearing with forward Peter Holland Monday by inking the 25-year-old to a one-year, $1.3-million contract.
The Canucks originally selected Corrado in the fifth round (150th overall) at the 2011 NHL Draft.
Corrado has registered three goals and eight points in 67 career games with the Canucks and Maple Leafs.
