Forward Milan Lucic and defenseman Jason Demers met with the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, ESPN reported Tuesday.
Lucic and Demers are expected to become unrestricted free agents Friday. Impending free agents are allowed to meet with teams, but cannot sign with another team before then.
Lucic, 28, had 55 points (20 goals, 35 assists) in 81 games with the Los Angeles Kings this season. He is in the final season of a three-year contract he had signed with the Boston Bruins, with an average annual value of $6 million, according to Generalfanager.com.
Demers, 28, had a personal NHL-best seven goals in 62 games with the Dallas Stars this season. He also had 23 points and a plus-16 rating while averaging 20:50 of ice time per game. He is in the final season of a two-year contract with an average annual value of $3.4 million, according to Generalfanager.com.
