KINGS (46-27-5) at CANUCKS (29-36-13)

TV: 10 p.m. ET; FS-W, SNP, NHL.TV

Season series: The Los Angeles Kings are 3-1-0 against the Vancouver Canucks. Anze Kopitar has two goals and six assists to lead Los Angeles; he scored in overtime to give the Kings a 2-1 win at Staples Center on Dec. 1. Daniel Sedin (goal, assist) and Henrik Sedin (two assists) each has two points to lead Vancouver. Canucks goalie Ryan Miller made 15 saves in a 3-0 victory in Los Angeles on Oct. 13. Kings goalie Jonathan Quick had a 27-save shutout in a 5-0 win in Vancouver on Dec. 28.

Kings team scope: Defenseman Brayden McNabb likely will be able to play after he was cut near his right eye on a high stick from Dallas Stars forward Radek Faksa in a 3-2 loss Saturday, LA Kings Insider reported. Los Angeles recalled defenseman Kevin Gravel from Ontario of the American Hockey League on Sunday. Gravel has played four games this season with the Kings, including his NHL debut Feb. 11 at the New York Islanders. Los Angeles, which has lost two of its past three games and is one point behind the Anaheim Ducks for first place in the Pacific Division, had an optional practice before traveling to Vancouver on Sunday. The Kings are eager to begin the Stanley Cup Playoffs, particularly those players who have never experienced the NHL postseason. "There are three or four maybe of us who haven't played a playoff game," McNabb told LA Kings Insider. "I think we're all pretty excited to get into the playoffs and actually play in the playoffs. Hockey, it's a fun time of the year. You have a chance to win and do something special, so I think we're all just looking forward to it."

Canucks team scope: Injured forwards Sven Baertschi (lower body), Chris Higgins (lower body) and Linden Vey (upper body) did not practice Sunday and will not play, The Province reported. Each is day-to-day. Defenseman Andrey Pedan will play left wing for a second consecutive game. Rookie forward Jake Virtanen will return from a two-game suspension for a hit against San Jose Sharks defenseman Roman Polak on Tuesday and play on a line with fellow rookie Jared McCann and Markus Granlund. "I'm just going to finish my hits, but obviously when you see a guy, you can kind of tell when you do and don't have time to hit him and let up a bit," Virtanen told The Province on Sunday. The Canucks have won two games in a row after losing nine straight (0-8-1).
