REGINA - Jon Martin was the lone scorer in the shootout as the Swift Current Broncos edged the Regina Pats 3-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Martin also scored early in the third period to tie it 2-2 and eventually force overtime for the Broncos. Jamal Watson opened the scoring, while Travis Child made 46 saves and stopped all three skaters he faced in the shootout.
Adam Brooks and Cole Sanford replied for Regina. Goaltender Tyler Brown turned aside 45 shots in net.
Swift Current went 1 for 5 on the power play and the Pats could not score on their two man advantages.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Jordan Tkatch had a hat trick in the Raiders' rout of Kootenay.
Simon Stransky and Reid Gardiner had a goal and two assists apiece for Prince Albert, while Parker Kelly and Luke Coleman added singles.
Tanner Lishchynsky was the lone scorer for the Ice.

SASKATOON — Egor Babenko scored three times and added an assist as Lethbridge cruised past the Blades.
Brady Reagan, Ryan Vandervlis, Jordy Bellerive, Giorgio Estephan and Andrew Nielsen had a goal and an assist each for the Hurricanes. Brett Davis and Carter Folk also scored.
Connor Gary struck twice and Wyatt Sloboshan added a goal for Saskatoon.

BRANDON, Man. — Reid Duke scored twice — including the winner — as the Wheat Kings down Moose Jaw.
