Season series: The Dallas Stars defeated the Winnipeg Jets 6-3 at American Airlines Center on Nov. 12, 2015. Forward Ales Hemsky had a goal and two assists and defenseman John Klingberg had a goal and an assist in the win. Goaltender Kari Lehtonen made 35 saves for Dallas; Ondrej Pavelec had 28 saves for Winnipeg.

Jets team scope: Winnipeg goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is expected to start for the 11th time in the past 13 games; Hellebuyck had 43 saves in a 4-1 win against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. The Jets have earned two wins against Central Division teams on their five-game trip that concludes Thursday. "Road wins, I think, have a lasting impact on your team," coach Paul Maurice told the Jets website. "You enjoy the wins differently on the road. That's why they're so important for team-bonding."

Stars team scope: Dallas coach Lindy Ruff split up forwards Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin at practice Wednesday after a 0-2-1 road trip. Ruff placed Benn with Jason Spezza and Valeri Nichushkin; Seguin formed a line with Mattias Janmark and Patrick Sharp. "It's not a long solution; it's a short solution," Ruff told the Stars website. "I think sometimes when there is some frustration, and [if] you separate them it can create some energy. That might be a period; it might be a game. I don't know what it is. To a man, I think they know they struggled, and it was a tough trip for them." Ruff has not confirmed whether Lehtonen or Antti Niemi will start in goal.
