The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed restricted free agent defencemen Frank Corrado and Adam Clendening, the team announced on Thursday.
The terms were not disclosed, although TVA's Renaud Lavoie reports Clendening's deal is a one-year, two-way contract worth $760,000.
Corrado, a fifth-round pick in 2011, appeared in 10 games for the Canucks last season, registering one goal with a minus-7 rating. The 22-year-old Toronto native spent the bulk of the season with AHL Utica, where he scored seven goals with nine assists and a plus-12 rating in 35 regular-season games.
Clendening, 22, suited up in 17 games for the Canucks last season after being acquired in January from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for defensive prospect Gustav Forsling. He chipped in two assists with the Canucks after registering two points in four games with the Blackhawks. Drafted by Chicago in the second round, 36th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft, Clendening has produced well at the AHL level with 23 goals and 126 points in 196 games split between Utica and the Rockford IceHogs.
