{allcanada} Canada earns team dressage silver at Pan Am

CALEDON, Ont. — Canada's equestrian team won the silver medal in the team dressage event Sunday at the Pan American Games.

The Canadian team of Brittany Fraser of New Glasgow, N.S., Megan Lane of Collingwood, Ont., Belinda Trussell of Stouffville, Ont., and Chris von Martels of Ridgetown, Ont., finished second with a score of 454.938.

The United States finished first with a score of 460.506 points and claimed the only qualifying spot available for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Brazil won the bronze with a score of 414.895.

"I think I have the best team that I could ask for," said Lane. "The dynamic, the energy, and the positivity are like nothing I've experienced. With that to lead up to a medal, I'm over the moon with this experience."
