Milos Raonic announced Saturday via Twitter that he'll be undergoing foot surgery in the near future, putting his participation in the French Open in question.

@milosraonic : I will be undergoing surgery to repair a nerve in my right foot. I withdrew from Rome to be ready to compete as soon as possible.

Raonic withdrew from next week's Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome, Italy due to the injury. Raonic is currently ranked sixth in the world rankings and has a 19-8 record this season.

The 24-year-old Canadian fell to Scotland's Andy Murray in the quarters of the Madrid Open Friday 4-6, 5-7.

The French Open starts May 24 from Roland Garros in Paris, France.
