The Blue Jays were busy Mother's Day morning, making a pair of moves to their roster before their series finale against the Boston Red Sox.
Saunders, 28, has only played in nine games in 2015, his first season with the Blue Jays, and is hitting .194 with three runs batted in. The Canadian outfielder was injured in Spring Training when he stepped on a sprinkler and underwent surgery shortly after.
Tolleson, a 31-year-old backup infielder, has played in seven games this season and is hitting .200 with two RBIs.
