TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays recalled right-hander Bo Schultz from triple-A Buffalo on Friday.

The 29-year-old native of Dallas, Tex., had seven saves and a 1.69 earned-run average in 16 appearances this season with the Bisons.

Schultz appeared in four games for the Arizona Diamondbacks last season, allowing seven runs in eight innings.

The Blue Jays will kick off a three-game series at Minnesota on Friday night.
