Season series: Phil Kessel has three goals for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have won two of three against the Boston Bruins.

Maple Leafs team scope: Goaltender James Reimer is expected to start. He has wins in his past two appearances. Center Peter Holland hasn't played since March 13 because of a lower-body injury. He practiced Friday and could be ready for a return to the lineup. In 59 games, Holland has 11 goals and 12 assists. Toronto had its two-game winning streak ended by the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, but the Maple Leafs can alter the race for spots in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this weekend if they get back on the winning track against the Bruins and the Ottawa Senators on Sunday. "It's good when the games mean something," coach Peter Horachek told the Toronto Sun. "That's giving them the respect they deserve. They're fighting tooth and nail."

Bruins team scope: Goaltender Tuukka Rask, who already has played in a career-high 66 games, is expected to start and be in net moving forward for as long as Boston doesn't have a playoff spot clinched. The Bruins have won four in a row after they rallied from a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday. They are now even in points with the third-place Red Wings in the Atlantic Division and three points ahead of Ottawa for the second wild card in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins got a boost from the debut of forward Brett Connolly, who had two assists. Connolly, who missed a month with a fractured finger after he was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning, fit well with center Ryan Spooner and left wing Milan Lucic in the third period and might stay there against the Maple Leafs.
