{allcanada} WHL: White nets hat trick as Warriors top Blades

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Torrin White scored twice in the first period and completed the hat trick just over a minute into the second as the Moose Jaw Warriors dominated the Saskatoon Blades 7-1 on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Brayden Point, Brett Howden and Jack Rodewald added power-play goals for the Warriors (29-32-5), who won their third straight. Jesse Shynkaruk rounded out the attack. Moose Jaw finished the game by going 3 for 7 with the man advantage.

Nick Zajac responded with a goal in the second period for Saskatoon (19-43-4), which went 1 for 5 on the power play.

Brody Willms got the win in goal after stopping 28 shots. Nik Amundrud made 36 saves in the loss.

RAIDERS 4 HURRICANES 3

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Reid Gardiner had a pair of goals as the Raiders slipped past Lethbridge.

Matteo Gennaro and Dylan Stewart added the others for Prince Albert (27-35-3) for its third-straight win.

Giorgio Estephan scored twice, with Johnny Wesley also chipping in during the second period for the Hurricanes (20-37-8).

WHEAT KINGS 9 BRONCOS 1

BRANDON, Man. — Morgan Klimchuk struck twice and added two assists as the Wheat Kings routed Swift Current.

Peter Quenneville also had a pair of goals for Brandon (48-11-7). Eric Roy, Jayce Hawryluk, Rihards Bukarts, John Quenneville and Tim McGauley rounded out the attack.

Jay Merkley's first-period goal stood as the lone offence for the Broncos (30-31-5), who lost their sixth straight.

EDMONTON — David Koch had the winner late in the third period as the Oil Kings edged Calgary.

Lane Bauer tied the game at two in the third for Edmonton (31-29-7). Dysin Mayo scored on the power play in the first.

Adam Tambellini and Travis Sanheim scored for the Hitmen (40-21-5).

RED DEER, Alta. — Riley Sheen had a goal and two assists as the Rebels won their third straight by topping Regina.

Haydn Fleury, Reese Johnson, Adam Musil and Brett Cote supplied the rest of the offence for Red Deer (35-21-10).

Colby Williams, Chase Harrison and Braden Christoffer scored for the Pats (35-21-9).

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Marek Langhamer stopped all 16 shots he faced as the Tigers blanked Kootenay.

Cole Sanford scored the game's lone offence with his 48th of the season for Medicine Hat (41-22-3).

Wyatt Hoflin turned away 31 shots in goal for the Ice (33-29-4).

VANCOUVER — Cole MacDonald scored the winner on the power play as Everett beat the Giants.

Remi Laurencelle and Matt Fonteyne had the others for the Silvertips (40-19-7), who won their third straight.

Tyler Benson found the back of the net for Vancouver (26-37-3).

ROYALS 4 COUGARS 3 (SO)

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Taylor Crunk had the winner in the 11th round of the shootout as Victoria held on to beat the Cougars.

Ryan Gagnon, Brandon Magee and Chaz Reddekopp scored in regulation for the Royals (35-27-4).

Tomas Andrilk, Tyler Mrkonjic and Chase Witala responded with goals for Prince George (28-33-5) to send the game to extra time. The loss snaps a five-game winning streak.

WINTERHAWKS 6 AMERICANS 2

PORTLAND, Ore. — Paul Bittner had a five-point night — including a hat trick — as the Winterhawks dominated Tri-City.

Chase De Leo, Miles Koules and Skyler McKenzie rounded out the attack for Portland (39-20-5). Winnipeg Jets prospect Nicolas Petan added three assists to give him 20 in his last six games.

Oliver Bjorkstrand's consecutive goal-scoring streak ended at 12 games, although he added two assists.

Jordan Topping and Richard Nejezchleb answered for the Americans (28-35-3).

KELOWNA, B.C. — Cole Martin was one-of-three Rockets to have a goal and an assist as they topped Spokane.

Nick Merkley and Chance Braid had identical nights for Kelowna (50-11-5). Tate Coughlin and Tyrell Goulbourne also scored.

Keanu Yamamoto and Jackson Playfair scored for the Chiefs (31-29-4).

THUNDERBIRDS 3 BLAZERS 1

KENT, Wash. — Cory Millette opened the scoring in the second period with his 21st of the season as the Thunderbirds beat Kamloops.

Jared Hauf and Nick Holowko, into an empty net, also scored for Seattle (33-24-9).

Matt Neeham responded with a goal late in the second for the Blazers (25-34-7).
