LARNACA, Cyprus - Star striker Christine Sinclair scored to lift Canada's women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over South Korea at the Cyprus Cup on Friday.

Sinclair has two goals in the 12-team tournament and Canada is 2-0, having won Wednesday's opener 2-0 over Scotland.

The Canadians wrap up Group A play Monday when they face Italy.

Canada has won the Cyprus Cup three times, and will be gunning for its first title since 2011. They finished second in Group A in last year's tournament and were relegated to the fifth-place match where they beat Ireland 2-1.

It's Canada's final tournament before this summer's FIFA Women's World Cup.
