The Ottawa Senators recalled goaltender Andrew Hammond from Binghamton of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis.
Goalie Craig Anderson has a hand injury, according to the Ottawa Sun.
The Senators host the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
Hammond, 26, is 7-13-2 with two shutouts, a 3.51 goals-against-average and .898 save percentage in 25 games with Binghamton this season.
Hammond made his NHL debut last season and saved all 11 shots he faced in relief of Robin Lehner in a 6-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.
