Milos Raonic's first step to another career year begins tonight in Melbourne.

Watch Raonic's opening round match from the 2015 Australian Open live tonight on TSN5 starting at 9pm et/6pm pt. And court-to-court coverage kicks off on TSN3 tonight at 7pm et/4pm pt.

He begins the 2015 Open with a match against Ukrainian qualifier Illya Marchenko, currently ranked 134th in the world. Raonic enters the tournament seeded eighth in a section of the draw that also features former World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt.

Fellow Canadian Vasek Pospisil begins the tournament against American Sam Querrey at approximately Midnight et/9pm pt on TSN1.

Raonic set a high bar for himself in 2014, advancing to his first career Grand Slam semifinal and reaching a personal best in the ATP Rankings, climbing as high as sixth and finishing the year in the top 10 for the first time.

However, the one area where he has room for improvement is his performance at the Aussie Open. Raonic was bounced in the third round at Melbourne in 2014 - his worst Grand Slam finish of the season.

Entering the 2014 Aussie as the 11th seed, Raonic won his opening match against Spain's Daniel Gimeno-Traver in four sets. The Thornhill, Ont.-native followed up the win with a straight-sets second-round victory over Romania's Victor Hanescu.

In the third round, however, Raonic stumbled. Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov took the big-serving Canadian out in four sets, finishing the match with a clutch 12-10 tiebreak in the fourth set.
