Season series: The Toronto Maple Leafs had 12 players with at least one point in a 5-3 win against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 9 at Canadian Tire Centre. Peter Holland led Toronto with a goal and an assist. Ottawa goalie Robin Lehner made 25 saves.

Maple Leafs team scope: Toronto has scored two goals and been shut out three times in a five-game losing streak. "I believe in our group, but we've underperformed," captain Dion Phaneuf told the Maple Leafs website Monday after a 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. "We're at where we're at right now, and there's no one that's going get us out of it but us." The Maple Leafs recalled forward Josh Leivo and defenseman Stuart Percy from Toronto of the American Hockey League on Tuesday. Percy, a first-round pick (No. 25) in the 2011 NHL Draft, has three assists in eight games with the Maple Leafs this season. Forwards Troy Bodie and Sam Carrick were reassigned to the AHL.

Senators team scope: Goalie Craig Anderson made 32 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss at the New York Rangers on Tuesday. "We're close, but I'm pretty tired of having this conversation that we're close," Anderson said. "We're not winning games and that's frustrating. We're here to win games. We're paid to win games. When we don't win games it's frustrating and it's not fun to be around." The Senators have lost six of their past eight games (2-4-2) but have killed 29 of 33 penalties during that stretch. Lehner is likely to start; he has allowed 19 goals in his past five appearances. His last win came on Dec. 13, 3-2 in a shootout against the Boston Bruins. In two career games against the Maple Leafs, Lehner has allowed seven goals on 55 shots (.873 save percentage). Ottawa is 9-6-4 at home and 7-7-2 against Atlantic Division opponents.
