SUDBURY, Ont. - The Ontario Hockey League's Sudbury Wolves have fired head coach Paul Fixter.

The Wolves have a league-worst 7-25-2 record entering Saturday's home game against Oshawa.

"After seeing some improvement in our team's play in the early part of December, our compete-level of late hasn't been good, and it was time to make a change," Wolves president and general manager Blaine Smith said in a statement.

Associate coach David Matsos will replace Fixter on an interim basis.
