Season series: Jakub Voracek's second goal of the game came 10 seconds into overtime and gave the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 victory at the Winnipeg Jets on Dec. 21. The Flyers have won two of the three games played in Philadelphia against the Jets since the 2011-12 season.

Jets team scope: The Jets took some time Wednesday to go over the things they didn't like from their 5-3 loss at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, but the focus was moving forward and getting ready for their game Thursday. Since losing four straight early in the season, the Jets have lost back-to-back games four other times, but have not had a losing streak last longer than two games. "We looked at stuff today we can do better and we move on," captain Andrew Ladd said, according to the Jets website. "That's something we've done the whole year, answering back after a loss or a tough outing. We'll be looking to do that tomorrow." Defenseman Jacob Trouba did not practice Wednesday but coach Paul Maurice said it wasn't an issue. "Nothing to worry about," Maurice said, according to the Jets website. "You're going to see an awful lot of this. Anybody who has something that can get better with a day's rest, they don't go out. We're pretty healthy. … Everybody out today will be in the lineup tomorrow."

Flyers team scope: Defenseman Nicklas Grossmann practiced Wednesday next to usual defense partner Mark Streit, but Grossmann isn't ready to return to the lineup. He has missed the past eight games because of an injury to his right shoulder. "I'm doing more and more every day," Grossmann said, according to CSNPhilly.com. "Just push it every day to get better. I can't put a timeline on it, won't put a date on it." General manager Ron Hextall said Nick Schultz, who was paired with Streit during the Flyers' 4-3 shootout win against the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday, skipped practice Wednesday for a maintenance day. Hextall also said center Scott Laughton, who has missed five games because of an upper-body injury, skated on his own Wednesday. Goalie Steve Mason, who had his first full practice Wednesday since sustaining a lower-body injury Jan. 10, said he felt good. He played 59 minutes in relief of Ray Emery on Tuesday. "I felt good today," Mason said, according to CSNPhilly.com. "I felt great waking up this morning, which is a great sign. I'm just glad this is behind us now."
