BLUE JACKETS (20-21-3) at JETS (25-14-8)

TV: SN1, FS-O

Season series: Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane scored two goals and goalie Michael Hutchinson made 32 saves in a 4-2 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Nov. 25. Ryan Johansen scored and Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves for the Blue Jackets.

Blue Jackets team scope: Columbus finishes its three-game road trip in Winnipeg after a 3-1 win against the Minnesota Wild on Monday. The win was the Blue Jackets' second in a row after they ended a four-game losing streak. Defenseman James Wisniewski had a goal and two assists, and Bobrovsky made 25 saves. Johansen saw his 13-game point streak end Monday. Johansen had eight goals and eight assists during the streak, which was the longest active streak in the NHL. The game Monday was the first time since Dec. 16 that he did not record at least one point. Right wing Jack Skille returned to the lineup after missing four games because of a lower-body injury. With Skille healthy again, right wing Jared Boll was a healthy scratch and missed his first game of the season. Defenseman Jordan Leopold was a healthy scratch for the 15th consecutive game. After the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game at Nationwide Arena on Jan. 25, the Blue Jackets will host the Washington Capitals on Jan. 27 before they begin a two-game road trip.

Jets team scope: After a 4-3 shootout win against the Arizona Coyotes at home on Sunday, the Jets have won four consecutive games. Left wing Mathieu Perreault (upper body) remains out and will not play Wednesday, according to the Jets website. Kane took Perreault's place on the second line against Arizona. The website also reported that Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba could play Wednesday while defenseman Mark Stuart may not be available. Trouba has not played since Dec. 13 because of an upper-body injury. Stuart has played seven games since returning from a lower-body injury sustained Dec. 16, but he had a maintenance day Tuesday at practice, according to Jets coach Paul Maurice. Hutchinson is expected to start against Columbus with the Jets continuing their goaltender rotation. After the All-Star break, which ends Jan. 26, the Jets begin a two-game road trip against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 27.
