The Santa Clause / Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Claus
The Sony hacks were a guaranteed topic for the Dec. 20 episode of "Saturday Night Live" considering the cyber attack on the film company has been in the headlines every day for weeks.
However, the show tackled the story in the best possible way by bringing back "SNL" alum Mike Myers as his famous "Austin Powers" villain alter ego, Dr. Evil, complete with hairless cat.
Dr. Evil expressed his disappointment that Sony and North Korea let this happen. Apparently Dr. Evil and Kim Jong-un went on a Viking tour together (it was breathtaking) and even though they're friends, Evil admits that Kim Jong-un isn't really "with it." The guy uses laser discs. There's also a solid crack about Sony thinking James Franco being a murderer is a joke -- he almost singlehandedly killed the Oscars. Ouch.
Dr. Evil's biggest bone to pick is with the hacking group that caused this PR disaster and prevented "The Interview" from making it to theaters -- Guardians of Peace, or GOP for short. "There's already a GOP!" Dr Evil laments, "and they're also an evil operation."
To be a good sport Dr. Evil took aim at himself, "When I wanted to put a bomb in theaters I just put in 'The Love Guru,'" referring to Myers 2008 critically and commercially disappointing film.
