The Santa Clause / Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Claus
Returning as Juna Millken to the HBO hit show The Comeback is a great gig for actress Malin Akerman, but not as good as being mom to 20-month-old son Sebastian.
"Motherhood is amazing," Akerman, 36, told PEOPLE at Thursday's Disney on Ice presents Let's Celebrate! in Los Angeles. "What mother would say it sucks? It's a lot of work, but it's the best job I've ever had."
Akerman, who is a former figure skater, brought Sebastian to the evening's festivities, where he got the chance to ice skate.
"I was a figure skater for 12 years. This was super special getting him on skates for the first time," explains Akerman. "He did great. He was tap dancing instead of skating. I don't know what means, so we'll see."
In the meantime, Akerman is relishing every minute of Sebastian's childhood, especially before he hits the terrible twos — which she plans to "skip right on over."
"He's his own individual," the proud mama says about her son, whose father is Akerman's estranged husband, Italian musician Roberto Zincone.
"He's very cuddly. He loves to give out hugs and kisses, and it's on his own accord. If someone asks for a hug, he has to go around the whole room and give everyone a hug. He's a lover."
And as Sebastian continues to get older, Akerman continues to be amazed by her son's growth.
"He's saying new words and climbing and moving thing," she shares. "Every day it feels like a new word is coming out of his mouth."
