Season series: The Sabres and Canadiens have split two meetings in Buffalo this season. The Canadiens won 2-1 in a shootout on Nov. 5. PA Parenteau had a goal in regulation and scored the winner in the shootout. The Sabres defeated the Canadiens 2-1 on Friday. Tyler Ennis had a goal and an assist, Jhonas Enroth made 30 saves and Matt Moulson scored the game-winning goal with 1:18 left in the third period.

Sabres team scope: Buffalo has won four of its past five games, and strong goaltending has been the key. The Sabres have not allowed a goal at even strength in 13 consecutive periods. Enroth has appeared in four consecutive games, three of them starts, and has allowed five goals. Enroth has won three out of four. Ennis has three goals and eight points in the past seven games.

Canadiens team scope: Montreal has won eight of its past 11 games but has lost two straight. Carey Price made 23 saves but took the loss Friday. He's allowed three goals in his past three starts. Dustin Tokarski, who may start in the second game of the home-and-home set, is 2-1-0 in three starts against Buffalo with five goals allowed and one shutout. Parenteau has scored in both games against the Sabres this season and has 12 points in 15 career games against Buffalo.
