Pacioretty celebrated his 26th birthday by scoring two goals; he has four goals and seven points in his past five games. Forward Brandon Prust discussed the rivalry against the Bruins after practice Friday. "They are going to be pretty hungry for a win too. … It's been a little while since the playoffs but everybody remembers that pretty clearly," he told the Canadiens website. The Canadiens are 7-3-0 in November. Forward Michael Bournival (shoulder) is on injured reserve.

Bruins team scope: Boston begins a three-game homestand after a 4-3 shootout win at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday. The Bruins have won six straight games at TD Garden. Forward Brad Marchand missed his second straight game Friday and is listed as day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. Center David Krejci (undisclosed) did not play.
