SHERBROOKE, Que. - Tim Wieser scored twice — including the winner at 19:59 of the third period — as the Sherbrooke Phoenix slipped past the visiting Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 4-3 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Kevin Domingue and Raphael Sawyer also scored for the Phoenix (7-3-0), while Vincent Deslauriers tacked on two assists.

Kyle Farrell, Clark Bishop and Julien Pelletier supplied the offence for the Screaming Eagles (5-4-1).

Sherbrooke's Alex Bureau made 27 saves for the win as Francois Brassard turned away 35-of-39 shots for Cape Breton.

The Phoenix went 0 for 7 on the power play while the Screaming Eagles scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Louis-Philip Guindon made 25 saves as Drummondville snapped a four-game losing streak by downing the Tigres.

Marc-Antoine Bouillon, Joey Ratelle and Justin Doucet scored for the Voltigeurs (4-4-1).

Yan Pavel Laplante responded for Victoriaville (5-3-2), while Brandon Whitney kicked out 28 shots in defeat.

GATINEAU, Que. — Vladimir Tkachev scored the shootout winner as Moncton edged the Olympiques for its fourth straight victory.

Cameron Askew forced extra time for the Wildcats (7-2-0) when he scored at 6:57 of the third period. Alex Dubeau made 25 saves for the win.

Alexandre Carrier opened the scoring for Gatineau (6-2-3) late in the first while Nicolas Lachance stopped 24-of-25 shots to earn his club a point.
