Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane will miss at least two weeks with a lower-body injury, the Winnipeg Sun reported Saturday.
Coach Paul Maurice said Kane, who was injured on his second shift of the season opener Thursday against the Arizona Coyotes when he collided with linemate Mark Scheifele, will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
The injury appeared to be to his right knee.
Kane, 23, had 19 goals and 41 points in 63 games last season. The Jets play at the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
