Chad Kackert may have suffered a setback in his return to the field for the Toronto Argonauts.
Kackert appeared to jam his leg during practice on Tuesday. The veteran running back limped off and threw his helmet before teammates consoled him.
Teammates said after practice Kackert was upset but that he didn't injure his ankle. Head coach Scott Milanovich said he didn't see the play and declined further comment.
Kackert was re-signed by the Argonauts last month after the running back retired from complications of a broken ankle suffered last season.
The fifth-year Argo was named Grey Cup MVP in the team's win over Calgary in the historic 100th Grey Cup in 2012.
