Chad Owens of the Toronto Argonauts will be in Calgary this weekend where his team faces the Stampeders on Saturday.
Whether or not the injured wide receiver will play remains to be seen.
Argos coach Scott Milanovich confirmed on Thursday that Owens will travel to Calgary, either today with his teammates or on Sunday where the team will stay prior to a date with the B.C. Lions on September 19. A decision has yet to be made on the 2012 Most Outstanding Player's participation in Saturday's game. As of Thursday, Owens has yet to be medically cleared.
Owens missed four games earlier this season with a foot injury incurred in the Argos' July 12 loss to those same Stampeders. He returned in an August 24 loss on the road to the Edmonton Eskimos, but picked up a leg injury that forced him to miss the team's Labour Day Classic with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The Argos (3-7) are tied with the Montreal Alouettes atop the East Division standings.
You can catch all of the action when the Argonauts visit the Stampeders live on TSN 1, 3, 4 and 5 on Saturday at 7pm et/4pm pt.
